Atop the Mayan pyramid is a good Epcot Mexican restaurant: the San Angel Inn Restaurant. Its main attraction is its ambiance. The building features a Mayan pyramid replica, Spanish tiles, stucco walls, and a mural depicting stunning Mexican sunsets. A person is transported to Mexico from another country. In terms of food, the San Angel Inn offers several traditional Mexican meals. Chilerelleno, Mole Poblano, and Puercón have found a place on the menu.

Checking in for our reservation at La Hacienda de San Angel was easy.
The Disney Experience app helped us make a reservation 10 minutes before dining time. I was asked to list how many people ate in the restaurant, if there were allergies or limitations, and if it was a celebration. After checking in, my father and myself waited in line to receive a text from my desk. We were called to our outdoor host stand and were directed to our tables.
La Hacienda de San Angel
When you're in the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot and looking for a quick and delicious bite to eat, look no further than La Cantina de San Angel. This quick-service dining spot offers a convenient and efficient way to enjoy Mexican flavors without reservation.
At La Hacienda de San Angel, you can expect a menu filled with Mexican street food-inspired dishes. From tacos and nachos to empanadas and churros, there are various options to satisfy your cravings. It's an excellent choice for those who want a tasty and hassle-free meal while exploring Epcot's World Showcase.
One of the highlights of dining at La Hacienda de San Angel is its prime location right on the shores of the World Showcase Lagoon. You can enjoy your meal while enjoying stunning views of the lagoon and the Mexico Pavilion. It's a great spot to relax, refuel, and soak in the park's ambiance.
Water-view tables at the restaurant are the best, but they're hard to get
The restaurant's interior was bright and open due to large glass windows that overlook the World Showcase Lagoon from inside. The tables directly above the windows provide excellent views of sunsets or nighttime, enchanting “Harmonious.” The windows are hard to open and need to be guaranteed. You can ask for one while checking in.
La Hacienda de San Angel is located across the pathway from the giant pyramid in the Mexico Pavilion.
The Epcot Mexico portion includes two table-service restaurants: La Hacienda and Angel Inn Restaurant. The Inn is located within the pyramidal structure; La Hacienda is directly opposite a trail and just off the World Showcase Lagoon – Water.
La Cava del Tequila
La Cava Del Tequila has plenty of good restaurants and bars in the heart of town. The restaurant aims to celebrate the tradition of Mexican tequila making. When you drink anywhere in the world, this place must definitely be on my list! Try tequila blanco, tequila reposado, or tequila aejo. You have to decide: Take a tequila flight. You can buy their specialty margaritas by opting for their fantastic avocado margarita, which contains fresh tequila melon liqueur and hibiscus salt.
Shopping in Epcot, Mexico
Epcot-themed theme makes you feel like you have traveled all over the world. There are also places for shopping for souvenir items like clothes, art supplies, and food. Most people remember a sombrero with many embroidery dresses, wooden carvings, and even habanero hots. These products are available at the Plaza of the Amigos Artesanias Family Fashion Store, El Ranchito Norte, and several vendors in the Epcot Mexico pavilion.
What is the difference between San Angel and La Hacienda?
It's a very different place and a different atmosphere! San Angel lies under a fake outdoor “nighttime” atmosphere, providing fantastic views on the Gran Fiesta tour boat as a floating sailor watches. In contrast, La Hacienda offers wonderful views from World Showcases and food which we usually like.
