Pricing

Before I get into the price to swim with the dolphins, I will say that this is the perfect option for a family who has an extended stay in the resorts, as this can be done on one of your “off days” when you are not rushing around the Parks. Now, onto the cost! As displayed on the Disney World website, it will cost you $199 plus tax to get the complete 2-hour dolphin encounter experience.

Keep in mind that only a select group of people get to meet them every day, so you should feel extra special if you are one of the lucky guests that get to take part in it. You will not have to have a park admission ticket to take part in this, and any equipment that is needed during the two hours will be provided for you, so you will not have to worry about any add-on fees throughout your time.

Timing

Just like anything involved with Disney World, I strongly suggest looking for tickets ahead of time, as you can get flash deals on various booking websites. Furthermore, at the time of my writing this article, DiveQuest is closed until March 2023; so to make sure you are not making the mistake of heading to Disney World and wanting to swim with the dolphins without any planning, I would check well ahead of time for the open availabilities to ensure that they meet up with your time needs.

Some of these are not necessarily rules, but guidelines to make sure you meet before booking your appointment with the dolphins.

Dolphin Science

You may already be a dolphin expert, and if you are then I am sure you already know everything I am about to say. In saying this, that does not mean to spoil it for everyone else!

Best Rides and Attractions at EPCOT

Dolphins are extremely intelligent beings, with many believing that they are only second to humans in pure smarts. When you look at the brain-to-body ratio between animals on land and sea, they are only second to humans in that category as well. They are incredibly good at solving problems and will be a complete joy to be around when you are with them! You will notice right away that they are uber-fast learners and that they show empathy and playfulness. Similar to your dog that you may have at home!

What Comes With the Package

Finally, let’s get on with the exciting part… what you are going to be doing during the 2-hour session!

After getting your body suit on, you will head over to the dolphin experts who take care of the dolphins on a day-to-day basis, where they will explain to you anything you are interested in knowing about these wonderful creatures. In regards to how long you will be in the water with them (everyone’s favorite part), the time always varies, but it is always around 30-40 minutes. This gives you an ample amount of time to interact with them and get to understand them better on a deeper level than you have ever been able to do before. Moving on, you will in backstage to take a look at where the trainers and staff care for the dolphins when they are not in action.

Here is where you will see some of the training techniques that the dolphins complete. Moreover, you will take part in 1-on-1 conversations with marine specialists and be able to engage in discussions about worldwide issues that are affecting ocean life as a whole as we speak.

How to Book

As I highly recommended before, reserving a spot in advance when you originally book your vacation is always the safest option, as there are only a certain amount of time slots that are open per day for you to pick from. When it comes to reserving your spot to swim with the Dolphins in Disney World, you can complete this fairly easily online or through the My Disney Experience app in a few clicks. Even though a reservation in advance is good, if this is a last-minute idea for you, there are same-day reservations and walk-ins available. Do not react if they are all booked up when you arrive though, as this is an extremely popular event to take part in while at the Parks.
