Disney’s main events are surely a sight to see, but their special events may be what puts them over the top! Throughout the year, they put on exclusive shows and events that can only be taken in if you are present during the periods in which they are presented in the Parks. This article discuss the top 3 Walt Disney World Special Events that are offered throughout the season. From Summer to Winter, they’ve got it all!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Get the spooky season rolling with a Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom with Mickey and many of the other main Disney characters. Put on your favorite costume and make your way around the Park in hopes to collect as much candy and treats as will fit your bucket! The best part, as the name of the event suggests, is it’s a “not-so-scary” Halloween party, so you will not have to worry about your little ones crying on the way out of the Park.
You can now try NEW DISNEY WORLD RIDES AND ATTRACTIONS TO LOOK FORWARD TO
This is one of the top events to plan for if you are booked in the resorts between August and October. The Disney delight continues in big fashion during this time, so you will not want to miss out! Along with being able to walk around and collect goodies from an assortment of locations, there are also Halloween-themed fireworks, meet-and-greets with rare characters, and Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween parade that is sure to leave your family with giant smiles. While in Magic Kingdom, try to catch all of Disney’s favorite attractions and rides, but with a different Halloween Twist to them!
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
How great would it be to taste your way around the world in minutes? Now you can with EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival. As long as you have a theme park admission ticket to the World Showcase at EPCOT, you will be able to taste samples from foods and wines based all around the world through stands and kiosks scattered all over the Park.
In addition to the array of samplers and plates that the event has to offer, there are also seminars, chef panels, and live music played by well-renowned artists throughout the festival as you stuff yourself with the delicacies from each stand. I do want to note that although an admissions ticket does get you into the festival unless you are there to just observe (which is virtually impossible with all of the delicious food around you), then you will have to either buy Food and Wine card ahead of time that acts as a gift card to any of the stands or kiosks or you can pay with cash/card.
Personally, I love the Food and Wine card as it allows you to not have to dig in your pocket at each area where you are trying an item. This festival takes place from late August through Mid-November, so don’t miss out on this unique chance to get a taste of the world if you have booked to come to Disney during that time! Top 3 Special Events To Take in While In Disney World

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
The previous two events are epic, but I had to leave the most magical party for the end. If you have the luxury of attending Disney World around Christmas time, this is a must-attend experience for you and your loved ones to take in together. It is the best that they have to offer during the holidays, and it is out there from November 8th until December 22nd every year, so pick up the phone and book those dates at the resorts now if you can! With all of Christmas’ famous tunes humming along in the background, you can enjoy fluttering ‘snow’ falling on Main Street U.S.A. as Disney’s favorite characters pass by in the parade. The live show displayed in front of Cinderella’s Castle will surely keep your children hoping the night never ends.
Top it all off with an epic firework show to finish one of the more memorable and magical nights you will ever be a part of. One tip I have to offer is if you are heading there with a large family, take a look at Disney’s PhotoPass, as it will allow you to capture every moment and enjoy all of the fun during the event, without having to grab your phone every minute or so to take that next picture. Focus on the attractions and let the PhotoPass do the rest!
Conclusion
The opportunities are virtually endless when in Disney World. Anything that you can possibly want will be located inside the Parks sometime during the year. Being that we can’t be there for 365 days of the year (although we’d all love to be), it is vital to pick and choose the times we can head on over to the resorts to experience some of the staggering events that Disney can offer.
Although this list only compiles the Top 3 Special Events To Take in While In Disney World favorites to attend, there are several other unique offerings that I enjoy greatly as well. A few of these include EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival, Disney After Hours at Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT’s International Festival of Arts. What is fascinating about every option is that there is something for all ages. Disney World covers all bases when throwing their events to be sure that everyone is there.
